Discover the Benefits of a Wire Closet Organizer

by Melanie S. King

It is no wonder that the wire type closet organizers are the most popular among city dwellers. You can install them just about anywhere. They can be put into the narrowest of closet spaces as well as a large expanse of a walk in closet. The reason they are so popular is that they are versatile as well as durable. They are even strong enough to be used in garages, work spaces and heavyweight pantries. A wire closet organizer has a sturdy framework making it useful for many purposes.

You need to make sure that the type of organizer you use fits your particular needs. If you are in a metro rental and on a tight budget, the least expensive, and the least construction intrusive is the wire closet organizer. Visually appealing and strong, these closet organizers are simple to construct and pull apart, allowing you to remodel large closets in only a few hours time. Other types of organizer systems may require construction knowledge (and permission from your landlord). No mater what type of system you choose however, an organized closet is always better than a garish storage pile.

One big advantage of using wire is that it is much easier to cut down to size or reorganize than wooden counterparts. There is a lot more mess and effort invested in wooden shelving as opposed to using a wire closet organizer. Tons of accessories are available for wire organizers. You can easily add them onto your system later, or rotate them between several systems in your house.

They are easy to construct, it takes just a couple of hand tools to put one together and they look good when they are completed. Wire closet organizers can be installed in a very short amount of time which simplifies the process of creating storage. There is no heavy construction involved, anyone can put them together and this keeps landlords a lot happier.

If you are concerned about the wires leaving creases on your clothes, there is a simple remedy. Use shelf liners right on the wire shelves and you won’t have any problems with this. Most people use shelf paper on regular shelving so there is no reason why you shouldn’t use it here as well.

If you are a home owner, you first choice might be to install a traditional wooden closet organizer. However, if you think there may ever come a time when you would need to change your closet around or possibly even move to another closet, a wire closet organizer is probably the best choice for you too.
