Major Market Shift Caused By Fashionable Clothing Brands In USA

Fashionable clothing brands in USA are following in an age old tradition. There has always been an interest in fashion and clothing. In biblical history, Jacob showed his love for Joseph with a multi-colored coat. Chinese emperors were depicted with ornately detailed robes. Rich men and women of Europe went all out with wigs, tights, buckles and frills. People’s interest in style hasn’t changed, but the looks certainly have.

America’s history has been one of ruggedness and survival. Early immigrants had to work hard to survive, and could not be concerned with the social workings of the stylish set back in Europe. Eventually, they were able to establish towns and schools, but the rugged life continued to influence American style.

Blue jeans, a worldwide fashion phenomenon, were created by Levi Strauss & Co. In 1873. Jeans are the archetype of American style, yet they were originally designed for hard working men who need work pants made with tough fabrics and rivets to reinforce stress points like pocket corners.

Van Heusen, represented in Geoffrey Beene, Gant, Izod and Van Heusen brands, had its birth in the working class of coal miners in Pennsylvania. Its first garment was flannel shirts sewn by the founder’s wife and sold from a push cart in the 1880′s. Today, Van Heusen markets higher end business casual and suits.

In 1936, Eddie Bauer patented the first goose down insulated jacket, and was providing the U. S. Army Air Corps with goose down products only six years later. The puffy, warm outerwear became a point of style.

Casual style has had its effect on the rest of the world. In societies in which form was more important than function regarding fashion, function and comfort have become the forerunners. America is a country in which a person who earns their millions by hard work is more respected than someone who is simply born to it, giving the rough and rugged look its honored place. Even the brands that have come along more recently rise to the top on casual wear. Jeans and T-shirts fill the malls.

With the survival phase in the past, the laborer’s look has evolved. Jeans are paired with dress shirts and suit coats, with plain T-shirts underneath. International runways commonly demonstrate this typically American style with T-shirts and classic jeans.

Calvin Klein and Liz Claiborne are two famous American designers. Liz Claiborne’s inspiration was the American working woman’s need for affordable, stylish work clothes. Tommy Hilfiger, Aeropostale, The Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, Pacific Sunwear and Zumiez and many more are symbolic of that casual American style. Trendy and comfortable clothes will be produced by the fashionable clothing brands in the USA as long as there are people wanting to wear them.
