Are you ready to stop paying those super high prices for kids clothing or shopping at the cheapest stores only to find that every shrinks up or forms little holes very quickly? If so, then it is time to start shopping for the best name brands on the market but at a reduced rate. If that sounds appealing, consider all of your options to make it happen.
Yard Sales: It used to be that most parents traded clothing or found great deals selling to one another through yard sales, and today it seems to be making a big come back. If there are some nicer areas around your home then look for the sale signs and see if you can’t find some low prices.
Flea Markets: Most towns have large thrift shops such as Goodwill or the Salvation Army. You may also be able to find some smaller shops that will give some amazing deals on used clothing. You may just have to look closer for flaws or stains.
Online Auctions: You are probably familiar with eBay, but there are now some smaller and lesser known auction sites that will allow you to bid with less competition driving up the prices. Look out for some sites that also allow trading between members.
Internet Only Sales: There are many sales through popular stores that are for internet purchases only and many consumers have no idea this exists. Go to the websites for your favorite stores and sign up for the email alerts and newsletters. You will then have some advance warning of sales inside the stores and even special invitations to internet only sales.
Clearance Mark Downs: Combine huge sales with clothing items already reduced to clearance prices and you can save big time on brand name clothing. For example, if there is a 40% off storewide sale that includes clearance items, only buy those items with the additional discount for extremely low prices on the biggest brands.
Discount WebSites: Besides auction sites, some online sites are now offering reduced priced clothing every single day. You won’t find a great sale at these sites, but for the most part they do offer great deals on lower priced brand name clothing. Check them often to find the best items before they sell out.
Trading Locally: If you can find someone in your hometown with children just a bit older or younger than your own, you could arrange a regular trade that saves you both a lot of bucks. It may not work out for everyone, but it is worth asking around with family and friends to see if they know of anyone who might want to enter into such a deal. You never know who is also looking for a great deal on children’s clothing.
Why pay full price for kids clothing when you can dress your kids in the cutest styles for a fraction of the price?
