Rings Are A Mans Best Friend

From early civilization rings have been worn by men. Early man used rings for fingers that pulled bowstrings. Men would utilize rings in many ways that would help them through their daily struggles to provide food and safety. Early evidence of wedding bands is also documented and the utilitarian qualities of these are obvious.

Signet rings were used to show the honor of a family when it bared it’s wearers crest This same crest was used to place markings on official documents to prove it’s authenticity. Thought not widely used in this fashion anymore, men still use rings in significant ways.

Modern guys have found that class rings can be very useful. Giving your girlfriend your ring signifies fidelity and a warning to other males to stay away. This practice is still popular today and will still go on for years to come. When a man has a son he may pass his class ring on to him.

That brings us to the ring that causes men the most trouble of all. The engagement ring. Even though this is not a mans ring, it will probably be the ring that gives the man the most stress. Just trying to decide how much to pay for the ring is enough to drive most men crazy. So it definitely should be included in men rings through the ages.

With the birth of the internet the modern man can easily shop for rings that will enhance his style. New metals are available that are stronger and more resistant to scratching and tarnishing. This means a man can look great and not worry about maintenance.

You will see an abundance of rings made of titanium and tungsten for today’s fashion savvy males. These rings even allow stones to be tension set in them that looks astonishing. Every man can now have an affordable and beautiful ring that will enhance his appearance. With the modern designs as well a the old standards there is no reason why a man can’t sport a unique style.
